Magnetic Rockwell hardness tester can complete its hardness testing by fixing the heads of Rockwell hardness testing instrument on the surface of the steel workpiece with two magnetic chuncks.
It can be classified into two models, including PHR-100 and PHR-100x. Our product is suitable for two kinds of workpiece, one is curved surface workpiece with 50 or above 50mm diameter and or above 5mm thickness, another is flat surface workpiece with the area being or above 180mm × 60mm and the area being or above 180mm×20mm. The net weight of the two flat surface workpieces are 4.9kg and 5.5kg respectively. Our product has such a moderate size that it can replace Leeb hardness testing instrument with low accuracy. The probe of the hardness testing machine can test any orientations of the workpiece and it can test the    hardness of HRC with one side directly. Magnetic Rockwell hardness tester is widely used in testing the welding joint hardness of the steel and pressure vessel besides large and medium-sized workpiece with heat treatment. PHR-100x is particularly suitable for the narrow parts of the machine tool guideways after assemblings. Magnetic Rockwell hardness tester is an ideal tool used in laboratory and workshop due to its lift design, neat appearance and easy operation.
 
 

Features of Magnetic Rockwell Hardness Tester
1. The magnetic Rockwell hardness tester has its testing head fixed onto the surface of steel workpieces through a magnetic absorbing disc, and accomplishes testing upon single side touch, with no need of sampling, removing or supporting the workpiece.

2. Working on practicable Rockwell hardness testing principle, the magnetic hardness tester has high testing precision, in compliance with ISO6508.2 standard. Also, its test error is no more than 1.5HRC tested, by the National Institute of Metrology.

3. It is fast, convenient, and of no damage.

4. A drum reading device is utilized for convenient reading, high repeatability and precision.

5. The magnetic Rockwell hardness tester is equipped with a magnifier with lamp, so that you can see the distinct reading in the darkness of the workshop.

6. The magnetic hardness tester is extensively applicable to the hardness measurement of flat components, curved components with the diameter more than 50mm, large workpieces, assembled parts, non-slicing and not easily movable parts.

7. It can also be used for on site precision hardness testing for steel plate, steel tubes, axles, moulds, large forgings, and a variety of large and medium-sized heat treated parts.

8. The magnetic Rockwell hardness tester is adopted to test the hardness of welding seam, heat-affected zone and parent metal in the finished pressure vessels.

9. The PHR-100X hardness tester is applied to striped parts like small machine tool guide way.

10. During production inspection and acceptance inspection, the magnetic Rockwell hardness tester is used in place of Leeb hardness tester.

11. Traceable standard hardness block, and qualified indenter examined by standard Rockwell hardness tester.

12. The dynamometer, used to calibrate load, is traceable to the national secondary standards.

● The test is quick, easy and steady with good repeatability and accuracy. So when the workpiece is available magnetic type hardness tester is the best choice.
● Magnetic type superficial Rockwell hardness tester is under development to test smaller, lighter, thinner specimens such as thin plate, thin hard carburized and nitrided steel.
